Quotes
James Taylor (Man of the Match): Delighted with the win. Credit to Jos Buttler. To be fair, I wasn't batting at my best, Jos Buttler did a great job. I have been waiting in the rooms for a few years. I am trying to get myself in the side and helping to win the games. I knew if I was there till the end, We would win, thankfully, Jos played a great knock. I was struggling a big. The pitch was interesting, it was a tough challenge. We are all looking forward to the massive game on sunday.
Eoin Morgan: we made it difficult for ourselves. We did not expect this at the start of the game. I always had a lot of confidence that if the guys got themselves in, they will take on the responsibility. We are working on that factor. Jos and James were outstanding and ruthless in the chase. Jos is quite a talent. In the nets we see his full range of the shots, hopefully he will fulfill his talent. Australia are in a good roll, its nice we play against Australia. We are going from strength to strength. We fought well today, proud of the guys. We are building little blocks on the way to the world cup.
MS Dhoni: It was a difficult day. We did well with the new ball. The openers did well, a bit more runs could have helped us. Good bowling and poor shot selections caused our downfall. A few of the deliveries misbehaved. I don't think the wicket played any factor. The English bowlers are more suited to these conditions. We have to work out on that, if we will play two spinners because Axar and Ashwin or Jadeja can bat a bit. To be good and consistent the lower order needs to perform, I feel the selection will be a catch-22 situation. When we play 4 seamers, two things happen. we lose the game and the captain gets banned for slow over rate. I feel it is very important to switch off. It is a very long tour. I hope in the next 10 days we can turn off and then get off to a fresh start. That test series was very draining for the guys.
