6 & Wicket: Dayal Emerges As The Superior 'Yash' Against Jaiswal After Getting Smacked; Watch Video

It's the IPL 2022 finals and everybody is understandably on their toes for the decisive contest, especially the players. Two uncapped Indian youngsters faced off against each other at the very start of the final between Gujarat Titans & Rajasthan Royals, as RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal took on Yash Dayal, and was dismissed on the next delivery!

Rajasthan opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a disrupting start as he faced 8 dot balls before scoring his first run. The youngster seemed to be troubled by the extra bounce the pitch offered and missed a few. The batter looked fidgety during his stay at the crease. 

However, Yashasvi went for shots in order to maximize the fielding restrictions. Young left-arm pacer Yash Dayal was brought on to bow the 4th over. Dayal banged the 5th delivery of the over short and angling into the left-handed. Jaiswal swivelled across, picked the length early and dispatched it over the long leg with the pull shot for a massive six. 

Dayal followed up with a 'hit the deck hard' delivery on the short length and cramped the RR opener for the room on the pull. Yashasvi went with the pull shot nevertheless and miscued it horribly, sending it high over square leg. R Sai Kishore ran in from the deep and settled under the ball with, taking the catch with ease as there was plenty of time for him. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed after scoring 22 runs in 16 deliveries with a four & 2 sixes as Rajasthan Royals lost their first wicket at a team total of 31.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss & opted to bat first against Gujarat Titans in the final of IPL 2022. While Gujarat are eyeing their maiden title win on their debut season, Rajasthan have reached the finals for the first time ever since winning it in the inaugural IPL edition. This match is being played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
