Ben Stokes is one of the top England players currently. The all-rounder is often named in the same list as the legendary players like Kapil Dev, Garry Sobers, etc due to his high-quality skills. Stokes is such a good player of all formats that England had no issues but to make him the new captain of the test team after Joe Root stepped down from the role recently.

Before his first assignment as Test captain against New Zealand at home, Stokes is back playing county cricket for Durham against Worcestershire. Stokes began his inning aggressively coming to bat at number six and in just 59 balls, reached 70 runs.

In the 117th over of the inning, Worcestershire's Josh Baker came onto bowl with left-hander Stokes in full flow. Stokes smashed the first ball over the top of the bowler's head for a six. The second ball went towards deep-midwicket for a maximum. The third one went over long-off as Baker tried to bowl outside off.

Baker came over the wicket but the result was again a six towards the long-on region. Baker once again came around the wicket but Stokes didn't stop and once again sent the ball towards the long-on region for a six, which also brought up his hundred in just 64 balls. There was still one ball left and Stokes smacked it straight but this it didn't clear the rope and only went for four.
