'9 Years 2 Months 3 Days' Kumar Kartikeya Yet To Go Home Even After IPL 2022 Conclusion

In IPL 2022, spinner Kumar Kartikeya made his debut for Mumbai Indians, following which in an emotional interview the bowler disclosed that it's been around 9 years since he has gone to his home, but now he will return after making his IPL debut. A month has passed since the conclusion of IPL, and you'll be surprised to know that the bowler has still not returned home. 

Recently, Kumar Kartikeya yet again remembered his mother & father. He said, "It's been 9 years, 2 months & 3 days since I've met my parents. I haven't met my parents in a long time. I'll only go back home when I'll get a break of 20-25 days." Kumar Kartikeya told the journalist that Mumbai Indians is taking a lot of their players to England due to which he hasn't been able to return to his home. 

Playing for Mumbai Indians, Kumar Kartikeya made his debut against Rajasthan Royals, where he conceded 19 runs in his 4 overs with a wicket to his name. After this contest, the left-arm bowler opened up that it's been more than 9 years since he has gone to his home, as he had decided that he won't return home until he has made his name in cricket.

It is noteworthy that Mumbai Indians didn't buy Kumar Kartikeya in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, but was brought in as a replacement for injured Mohammad Arshad Khan mid-season. Kartikeya played 4 games in IPL 2022 and managed to register 5 wickets to his name.

In the more recently concluded Ranji Trophy 2022, Kumar Kartikeya was a part of the title-winning Madhya Pradesh team. Kartikeya garnered attraction with his spin bowling. In 6 matches for Madhya Pradesh, with an average of 21, Kumar picked up 32 wickets.
