Nov.4 (CRICKETNMORE) - Mohammed Siraj has turned into an overnight hero, after he was recruited by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2017 season of the Indian Premier League. Mohammed Siraj has been now handed his maiden international cap by coach Ravi Shastri in the second T20I against New Zealand at Rajkot.

#. Siraj was born on March 13, 1994, at Hyderabad into a lower-middle-class family to parents Mohammed Ghaus and Shabana Begum. Belonging from a weak financial background, his parents sacrificed a lot to let him play the game of cricket. His father was an auto-driver.

#. Siraj never went to a coaching academy. He spent his childhood playing galli cricket in the narrow bylanes of Khaja Nagar

#. As a cricket player, Siraj’s first income was INR 500. In a club match, he bagged 9 wickets. Impressed with his performance, his uncle rewarded him with Rs.500.

 

#. In the 2016-17 Ranji season, Siraj bagged 41 wickets at an average of 18.92 to become the highest-wicket taker for Hyderabad.

#. In 2017 Indian Premier League, Siraj was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 2.6 crore. He picked up 10 wickets from six games and impressed everyone.
