Aus vs Ind: Rohit Sharma Most Likely To Board The Flight To Australia
Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma is 75% likely to board the flight to Australia on the 12th December and join the team, the cricket journalist Boria Majumdar has revealed on Monday.
Rohit Sharma will be undergoing assessment in NCA on the 11th December to prove his fitness, and if he clears the test, he will be available for the last two test matches against Australia.
According to Boria Majumdar, Rohit is "much better now, and has improved a lot".
Talking on his youtube channel Sports Today, Majumdar said that Rohit is not only doing rehab for his hamstring injury but also working on strength building and conditioning as well.
"Apart from the hamstring, Rohit is also strength building. If you see, Rohit has had multiple injuries in the last few years, and in New Zealand also he got injured. So, he will be much leaner and fitter after doing the rehab".
Speaking on the matter of hard quarantine rules in Australia, the journalist said that Sourav Ganguly is in constant talks with Cricket Australia(CA) if it can be "worked upon".
Earlier, Sharma came to India after a successful IPL 2020 due to his ailing father. He has been doing rehab since then at National Cricket Academy(NCA) along with Ishant Sharma.
The Indian team has taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the T20I series against Australia after losing in the ODI series. The test series is scheduled to start from 17th December in Adelaide. The second test match will be played in Melbourne from 26th, the third test from 7th January, and the fourth test on 15th January 2021.
