AUS v WI: Match Details

  • Date – Saturday, November 06, 2021
  • Time – 3:30 PM IST
  • Venue – Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

AUS v WI Match Preview:

The Australian team is looking strong in their batting with David Warner and captain Aaron Finch back in form. Middle-order is an issue of concern as Mitchell Marsh & Glenn Maxwell haven't fired yet and Steven Smith can be trusted to score runs but at a low strike rate.

Australian bowling has been their strength in this World Cup. Adam Zampa was player of the match in 2 out of 3 matches Australia has won while Josh Hazlewood was player of the match in one.

West Indies are virtually out of the tournament. Nicholas Pooran scored 46 while Hetmeyer scored 81 in their last match against Sri Lanka but none of the other batters scored much and that has been a problem for Windies in this tournament - inconsistent batting.
Bowling has also been disappointing with lack of a proper pacer to partner with Akeal Hossein as aged Ravi Rampaul has proved to be ineffective.
