Babar Azam Names His All Time Indo-Pak XI, Chooses More Indians Than Pakistanis In His Team

Pakistan captain and star-batter Babar Azam named his best India-Pakistan joint playing XI for the T20 format. In his team, he has named 6 Indian players & 5 Pakistani players. Amongst the batters in his XI, Babar has named only one other Pakistani apart from himself. 

While talking to Harsha Bhogle in an interview, Babar Azam revealed his best XI jointly from India and Pakistan team for T20s. Azam named 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma to be his opening partner in this XI. Apart from this, Virat Kohli is the #3 batter while experienced Pak all-rounder Shoaib Malik would bat at #4. 

Babar Azam named Indian legend 'Thala' Dhoni as the wicketkeeper of the team, while Hardik Pandya made his place in Azam's list as the second all-rounder after Shoaib Malik. 

In the spin department, Indian left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav along with Shadab Khan were named by Babar. The fast bowling department consists of Mohammad Amir, Jasprit Bumrah & Shaheen Afridi.

In the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2021, Pakistan was able to defeat India for the first time ever in an ICC World Cup (50 over or 20 over). Babar scored 68* & along with Rizwan (79*) chased down the target of 152 in 17.5 overs, defeating their arch-rivals by 10 wickets.
