Disciplined bowling helps Adelaide Strikers restrict Melbourne Stars on 149/7 in the first innings of the 36th match of Big Bash League(BBL).
Stars, after opting bat first, lost Andre Fletcher in the fourth over. Melbourne could only manage to score 17 runs in the powerplay.
Marcus Stoinis and Nick Larkin continued to score slowly as the team crossed fifty runs in the ninth over.
Rashid Khan removed Larkin and next batsman Glenn Maxwell in consecutive balls to push Stars on backfoot.
Stoinis got out soon after scoring a 31-ball 47 with the help of four fours and three sixes. Nic Maddinson helped the team reach a respectable total with his unbeaten 48 off 34, which included two fours and three sixes.
For Strikers, Rashid Khan, Wes Agar, and Daniel Worrall took two wickets each.
