BBL 10: Marsh Takes Melbourne Renegades To 168/6 Against Sydney Sixers
Melbourne Renegades opener Shaun Marsh's knock of 67 helped his team get to 168/6 against Sydney Sixers in the first innings of the 18th match of BBL 10.
Renegades after opting to bat first had a great start with both openers - captain Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh looking aggressive.
They scored 34 runs off the first four overs of the powerplay without losing any wicket. The pair went on to add 75 runs for the opening wicket in 10 overs before losing Finch.
Marsh added another 46 runs along with Sam Harper. Carlos Braithwaite got the breakthrough in the form of dangerous-looking Marsh to restrict the scoring rate in the 15th over.
The middle-order failed to continue the momentum set by the top-order as they lost four wickets in the last five overs and scored 46 runs.
For Sixers, Daniel Christian was the pick of the bowlers taking two crucial wickets in his three-over spell while conceding 19 runs.
Brief Score - 168/6 (Shaun Marsh - 67; Daniel Christian - 2/19)
