BBL 10: Perth Scorchers Thump Sydney Sixers By 86 Runs
An all-rounder Perth Scorchers beats Sydney Sixers by 86 runs in the 30th match of the Big Bash League(BBL) on Wednesday.
Andrew Tye and Jhye Richardson wrecked the Sixers' batting line up as they got bundled out for 97. Tye finished with the figures of 4/20 in 3.4 overs while Richardson took 3/15 in his four overs.
For Sixers, Only Jack Edwards showed some fight as he top-scored with 44 runs while the rest of the batting order was being destroyed by Scorchers. The next batsman was Steve O'Keefe with 16 runs. A total of four batsmen got out on a duck.
Earlier, being put in to bat, Scorchers reached a strong total of 183/4 on the back of Colin Munro and captain Mitchell Marsh's half-centuries. Munro scored 50 runs off 34 balls, while Marsh gave a perfect finish to the innings with his 27-ball-57. His knock included seven fours and two sixes.
Steve O'Keefe and Lloyd Pope took two wickets in the first innings for Sixers.
