BBL 10: Sydney Thunder Restricts Perth Scorchers For 152/5
A disciplined bowling performance helps Sydney Thunder restrict Perth Scorchers for 152/5 in the first innings at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
Earlier, Thunder captain Callum Ferguson won the toss and opted to bowl first. Scorchers could only score 22 runs in the powerplay.
After the end of the four overs, Scorchers in pressure lost three quick wickets.
Ashton Turner and captain Mitchell Marsh revived the innings. However, Marsh lost the support of Turner as well in the 11th over. Captain Marsh and Cameron Bancroft added 61 runs at the end to take the team past the 150 run mark. Marsh scored an important 52 off 41 balls which included three sixes and a four.
For Thunder, four bowlers took a wicket each. Debutant Adam Milne conceded 17 runs in his four overs.
