Melbourne Stars leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been given a one-match suspension over the charge of 'Audible Obscenity' during the match against Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League(BBL).

Zampa was found guilty of the offense and got penalized $2500 by Cricket Australia. Since this was his second transgression in under 12 months, Zampa had to be suspended for one game.

Zampa was heard swearing in frustration at the end of his third over after being already hit for 32 runs. He went on to concede a total of 49 runs at the end of his four-over spell while taking three wickets.

Adam Zampa was previously given a 'level one' warning in January 2020. He was found guilty of "using language, actions or gestures which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter" against Brisbane Heat in BBL 09.

Melbourne Stars will be playing their next match against Hobart Hurricanes on 2nd January 2021.
