A strong all-round performance by Brisbane Heat helped them by Melbourne Renegades by 26 runs in the 49th match of the Big Bash League(BBL) on Saturday.

Sam Harper looked good, while at the crease, and threatened to chase down the total, however, he didn't get enough support from the rest of the batsmen. Harper scored 57 from 32 balls with the help of four overs and four sixes.

Renegades captain Aaron Finch once again got out early after scoring just four. Shaun Marsh and Harper added 46 runs for the second wicket before the former got out on 28. The middle-order, consisting of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Mackenzie Harvey, and Beau Webster, got out without reaching a double-digit score.

Imad Wasim(13) and Jack Prestwidge(19) couldn't do much despite getting a start as Renegades fell short of 26 runs of the target.
For Heats, Mark Sketetee got three wickets, while Mitchell Swepson and Xavier Bartlett picked up two wickets each.

Earlier, Chris Lynn gave a terrific start to the Heat innings with a blistering knock of 52 from 32 balls. His innings included five fours and three sixes. Marnus Labuschagne gave justice to the start with his 31-ball 49 run innings, which helped Brisbane get a strong finish. He hit three fours and two sixes during his entertaining knock.

Brief Score:

Brisbane Heat - 173/5 (Chris Lynn - 52; Zak Evans - 3/34)

Melbourne Renegades - 147/10 in 18.4 overs (Sam Harper - 57; Mark Sketetee - 3/41)
