Bowlers, Buttler Star As England Beat New Zealand By 13 Runs In Warmup Match

Bowlers and Jos Buttler starred in England's 13-run win over New Zealand in the warmup match of T20 World Cup. 

Chasing 164, New Zealand was off to a terrific start as they smashed 59 runs in the powerplay despite losing Tim Seifert early. 
Martin Guptill slammed 41 off just 20 balls and Devon Conway hit 20 to build a solid platform for the run chase that looked in control till ninth over. 

However, a Kane Williamson-less Kiwi middle-order collapsed as New Zealand went from 81/2 to 103/9 in no time. Ish Sodhi and Todd Astle fought back and helped New Zealand reach 150 before Chris Woakes got the last wicket out. 

For England, Mark Wood picked four wickets while Adil Rashid got three. Liam Livingstone and Chris Woakes got one each. 

Earlier, on being asked to bat first, England lost Jason Roy on the first ball but went on to score 47 in the powerplay. Malan and Morgan, however, had poor outings. 

Buttler scored 70 off 51 balls and got good support from Jonny Bairstow, who hit 30 from 21 balls. Sam Billings finished the innings on a high, scoring 27 from 17 balls as England scored 163/6 in first innings.
