IPL 2022: In recent developments, Alex Hales has pulled out of IPL 2022. The English explosive batter was bought at a price of 1.50 crores by the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL mega auction 2022. However, a replacement has been named for the batter.
Aaron Finch, Australian limited-overs' captain has been named as the replacement for KKR for the upcoming season. Aaron Finch has played for as many as eight different IPL teams this year - Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab & Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Alex Hales has played 6 matches in the IPL and has scored 148 runs in the tournament with an average of 24.66 and a strike rate of 125.42. Hales has cited the reason for this withdrawal as the fatigue caused due to the bio-bubbles which is necessary for every player to reside in while staying in a bubble.
