Bumrah, Rana Reprimanded For Breaching IPL Code Of Conduct

After Kolkata Knight Riders' five-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in the 14th match of the IPL 2022, match referee, Vengalil Narayanan Kutty, reprimanded star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and batter Nitish Rana for breaching the tournament's Code of Conduct. 

IPL issued a statement where Nitish Rana was reprimanded and fined 10 percent of the match fee after the KKR batter admitted to the level 1 offence. 

"Nitish Rana from Kolkata Knight Riders has been reprimanded and fined 10 percent of his match-fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians at Pune. Mr. Rana admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction," the release said. 

Further, Bumrah also admitted to the level 1 offence of the Code of Conduct, The Mumbai Indians bowler was given a warning but no financial penalty was given to him. 

"Jasprit Bumrah from Mumbai Indians has been reprimanded for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Pune. Mr. Bumrah admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction," the release added.

However, the IPL release didn't clarify exactly what offences were being charged for the two cricketers.
