Candice Warner Comes Up With An Indirect Jibe At Sunrisers Hyderabad
David Warner, the 35-year-old Australian opener, was in the news for not so good reasons during the latter part of the first leg and the second leg of the IPL. He was sacked from the Hyderbad franchise's captaincy midseason.
According to reports, Sunrisers Hyderabad sacked Warner as captain as he wasn't performing very well, and looked 'too slow' in his batting approach. Moreover, the most successful batter in SRH history was discarded off as a useless commodity.
On Sunday (November 14), Australia lifted their maiden T20 World Cup trophy after defeating New Zealand by 8 wickets in Dubai. David Warner scored 53 runs in 38 balls with 4 fours & 3 sixes and helped play a pivotal role along with Mitchell Marsh, in winning the match. Warner has also been adjudged the 'Player Of The Tournament' as well.
The 35-year-old scored 289 runs in 7 matches, averaging 48.16, striking at 146.70. His highest score 89* came against West Indies in the Super 12 stage. After the presentation ceremony, Candice Warner, David Warner's wife, took to Twitter and shared a post of David Warner scoring 53 runs off 38 balls with 4 fours & 3 sixes against New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup inal, with the caption: 'Out of form!!'.
She shared another post containing her husband's picture and the words ' Player Of The Tournament' with the caption: Out of form, too old and slow! (laughing emoji) congratulations @davidwarner31
David Warner, sacked from the captaincy of Hyderabad in 2021, was also discarded from the team. Kane Williamson was made the skipper for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in his place. In the second leg, David Warner wasn't even travelling with the team from the hotel to the stadium and was seen supporting his team from the stands.

Warner fans were devastated and confused by this move by SRH. Netizens were making points and asking the SRH administration why is David Warner being subjected to such ignorance. The explosive southpaw led SRH to IPL title victory in 2016. However, with the Mega Auction for IPL approaching, franchises would look to get this explosive T20 batter as Warner had signalled through his social media that his time at Sunrisers Hyderabad is over.
