Following a charismatic performance on Thursday against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, the Saint Lucia Kings will now turn their attention to Saturday where they take on the undefeated Saint Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Faf Du Plessis’ side played pretty much the perfect game to trounce the Warriors and would be optimistic for a similar performance against the other high flying team of the Caribbean Premier League(CPL) 2021.

Saint Lucia Kings vs Nevis Patriots Head-to-head(H2H)

  • Total – 12
  • Saint Lucia Kings – 5
  • St Kitts & Nevis Patriots – 5
  • No Result - 2

There is nothing to choose between the two sides, with a level head-to-head record so far in the history of the CPL. The Kings won both encounters last season against the Patriots, but it is the Patriots who have been the team to beat this time around. Dwayne Bravo’s side have won all five of their games so far, and would make for formidable opponents for the Kings on Saturday.

Roston Chase continues to be the most bankable batsman for the Saint Lucia Kings. The 29-year-old displayed a different avatar to his batting, scoring 85 in close to no time to get his team their second win of the season. Placing a price on his wicket while also playing some expansive shots, Chase has been a rock in the middle-order for the Kings.

Obed McCoy marked his return to the team with a splendid performance, as he picked up two wickets in his first two overs to completely destabilize the Warriors’ chase. With the angle he is able to generate from bowling round the wicket, coupled with his variety of options make McCoy a genuine threat to any batting order in the CPL.

The Patriots haven’t put a foot wrong so far in the competition, winning all their games thus far. With T20 stalwarts like Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo part of their roster, coupled with some exciting talents like Fabian Allen and Sherfane Rutherford, the Patriots have assembled a strong squad for this season’s Caribbean Premier League.

Secondly, with all games being played at Warner Park in St.Kitts, the team also has a slight home advantage which always comes in handy in franchise tournaments.
