GT vs CSK IPL 2022: David 'Killer' Miller finally displayed the skills he's known for as he almost single-handedly took Gujarat Titans to a 3-wicket win in a thriller against Chennai Super Kings with an explosive inning.

Reminding of the innings he played for Punjab against Bangalore in 2013, Miller came on to bat in the 4th over itself when GT were at 16/3 in while chasing 170. Miller showed his class and batting skills as he steadied the innings, slowed the fall of wickets, and stayed till the end to ensure 5th win in 6 matches for Gujarat Titans.

Batting at #5, David Miller scored an unbeaten 94* runs in 51 balls, smashing 8 fours and 6 sixes. This match-winning knock proved to be the difference between the two teams as the new franchise GT, defeated the defending champions CSK by 3 wickets and 1 ball remaining in their first-ever clash.

However, he was assisted by Titans' stand-in captain Rashid Khan 40(21), who smacked 3 sixes and a four in the 18th over against Chris Jordan when the team needed 48 runs off 3 overs. Even though Rashid was dismissed in the 19th overs, Miller remained not out as he took the team to win while requiring another 13 runs off the last over.

Talking about the match, Gujarat Titans stand-in captain Rashid Khan won the toss & opted to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings in the 29th match of IPL 2022. After a fifty from Gaikwad (73) and Rayudu's 46, Chennai Super Kings managed to post 169/5 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja finished unbeaten with 22 runs in 12 balls with 2 sixes at the end while Shivam Dube also managed 19 runs in 17 balls before getting run out on the last ball of the innings. For GT, Alzarri Joseph picked up 2 wickets while Shami and young pacer Yash Dayal managed 1 wicket each.
