Team India and CSK's star fast bowler Deepak Chahar is likely to miss four more months of cricket after suffering a back injury while nursing a quadricep tear at NCA.

According to a report in Times Of India, the recent scans of Deepak aren't looking good and the fast bowler might take at least four months to fully recover from the injury that has already kept him out of the early parts of the IPL 2022.

Chennai Super Kings bought back the premier fast bowler for 14 crore INR in the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, Chahar suffered a quadricep tear during India's limited-overs series against West Indies in February.

The CSK management was positive that Chahar will make his comeback in late April but things aren't looking good for neither CSK nor the fast bowler. While CSK have lost four out of five games they have played so far, Deepak is dealing with a fresh injury.

Apart from CSK, the blow is also for the Indian team who will miss the services of the Deepak for their upcoming limited-overs matches, starting with South Africa in June. Most Importantly, Deepak will need to work hard for his fitness or his hopes for the T20 World Cup squad will get hurt.
