ENG v IND, 4th Test: England Makes Use Of Morning Session As India Score 54/3 At Lunch

England bowlers made full use of the bowling conditions in the morning session of day 1 of the 4th test as India lost three wickets for 54 runs. 

Joe Root won the toss and put India to bat first in overcast conditions. Root's call went right as India lost both its openers inside the first hour. Rohit Sharma edged one to the keeper off comeback man Chris Woakes while KL Rahul was struck on pads by a nip backer from Ollie Robinson. Cheteshwar Pujara after surviving 31 balls got an edge off James Anderson. 

However, Virat Kohli coming in at number 4 played two on drives and in between became the fastest to score 23000 international runs. Kohli is so far looking good on 18 off 29 balls. 

India surprised everyone when Ravindra Jadeja walked in at number five ahead of Ajinkya Rahane. Anderson tested Jadeja's defence before the Lunch was called.
