England Batters Wreak Havoc On Dutch Bowlers; Plunder Highest ODI Total Ever

England batters wreaked havoc on Netherlands as they smacked a gigantic _ against Netherlands in the 1st ODI. Philip Salt, Dawid Malan & Jos Buttler smacked maginificent centuries as the English team posted the highest total in ODI history. 

After being put in to bat first, England lost opener Jason Roy (1) early on in the second over. However, Philip Salt then etched a partnership of 223 runs with Dawid Malan as England were powered to 223 runs inside the 30 overs. 

Jos Buttler joined Dawid Malan in the middle and etched another partnership of 184 runs for the 3rd wicket. Opener Philip Salt scored 122 runs off 93 deliveries with 14 fours and 3 sixes while Dawid Malan smacked 125 runs n 109 balls with 9 fours & 3 sixes. 

After captain Eoin Morgan was dismissed for a golden duck, Liam Livingstone joined Jos Buttler in the onslaught and smacked an unbeaten 66 runs off just 22 balls with 6 fours & 6 sixes. Jos Buttler ended with a score of 162* runs in 70 balls with 7 fours and 14 sixes.

For the Netherlands, captain Pieter Seelar went for 83 runs in his 9 overs, while picking up 2 wickets and remained as the most economical bowler for the Dutch. Logan van Beek and Shane Snater picked up 1 wicket each, going 82 runs and 99 runs in 10 overs each.

Earlier, Netherlands captain Pieter Seelar won the toss & opted to field first against England in the 1st ODI. This match is being played at VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen.
