England Thrash Netherlands By 8 Wickets; Complete 3-0 Clean Sweep In ODI Series
NED vs ENG: England continued their dominance against Netherlands, registering an 8-wicket win in the third & final ODI, completing a 3-0 clea sweep. Opener Jason Roy starred in the run chase with 101 runs while captain Jos Buttler contributed with 86 runs after England lost back-to-back wickets.
Chasing a total of 245, England got off to good start as openers Jason Roy and Philip Salt added 85 runs in just 9.3 overs. Phil Salt, who scored a century in the first ODI, was bowled by Paul van Meekeren on the 4th deliver of the 10th over. Two balls later, Dawid Malan was also bowled by the same bowler without opening his run account.
However, Roy, alongwith skipper Jos Buttler, etched a partnership of 163 runs to take England home with 19.5 overs remaining, and 8 wickets in hand. Buttler finished unbeaten on 101 runs in 86 balls with 15 fours, while Jos Buttler blasted 86 runs off 64 balls with 7 fours & 5 sixes to finish off quickly.
For Netherlands, Paul van Meekeren was the sole wicket-taker with both wickets to his name.

In the first innings, Netherlands were halted to 244 runs in 49.2 overs. Opener Max O'Dowd scored 50 runs in 69 balls, Bas de Leede scored 56 runs in 78 deliveries while captain Edwards scored 64 runs in 72 balls with 2 fours and top-scored for his team.
