3rd Sep, Southampton (CRICKETNMORE) – Australia beat homeside England by 59 runs in the first ODI of the five match series, here.

Australia Innings: Australia scored 305/6 in 50 overs. M Wade (71*), D Warner (59), J Burns(44), S Smith(44) and M Marse (40*) contributed with the bat. A Rashid took 4 wickets for England.  

England Innings: Roy (67) and Alex Hales (22) gave the hoemside a good start to the chase but Morgan, Buttler and Woakes soon followed in the space of four deliveries, and England’s innings petered out as they fell 59 short, with Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Shane Watson, taking two wickets apiece.
