England Women Beat India By 7 Wickets In 3rd T20I; Clinch 3-Match Series 2-1

With the help of an excellent bowling performance, followed by Sophia Dunkley and Alice Capsey's impactful knocks, England women beat India by 7 wickets in the 3rd T20I to clinch the 3-match T20I series 2-1. 

Chasing a target of 127 runs, England women got off to a good start as the openers Sophia Dunkley and Danielle Wyatt added 70 runs in just 9.4 overs for the first wicket. Dainelle Wyatt was the first ticket to fell as she was dismissed by Sneh Rana in the 10th over after scoring 22 runs off 23 balls. 

Sophia Dunkley (49) was dismissed two overs later by Pooja Vastrakar, felling one run short of the fifty. Amy Jones (3) was dismissed in the next over by Radha Yadav and England had lost three quick wickets as India eyed a comeback. However, Alice Capsey on the other end remained at the crease as she took the England team to a series clinching victory by 7 wickets. 

Alice Capsey remained not out after scoring 38 runs in 24 balls with 6 fours. In the first innings, India suffered a major batting collapse as India lost 6 wickets for just 52 runs in 13 overs. However, Richa Ghos (33), Deepti Sharma (24) and Pooja Vastrakar (19) helped team India cross the 100-run mark. 

For England Sophie Ecclestone grabbed three wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. Sarah Glenn picked up 2 wickets while Bryony Smith, Freya Davies and Issy Wong managed 1 wicket each.

Earlier, England captain Amy Jones won the toss & opted to bowl first against India in the decider T20I. This match was played at County Ground, Bristol.
