WPL 2024: Gujarat Giants Preview
Beth Mooney was available for only one game in the inaugural season. However, she suffered an injury in the opening game and had to be ruled out. It was Sneh Rana who led the team for the rest of the season. But good news for GG fans: Beth is back, and she will be leading the team in the WPL 2024 under the coaching of Michael Klinger.
She will be assisted by notable international stars like Phoebe Litchfield, Ashleigh Gardner, and Laura Wolvaardt. GG signed a total of 10 players at the WPL 2024 auction and was very keen to re-shuffle their pack after a horrible inaugural season. The franchise has organized a set of some good young and experienced players that might be good for them this time around.
The current squad has a total of 18 players, including six overseas, and the team has mainly picked up all-rounders who can contribute in both departments of the game. GG will play their first game of the new season against the defending champion on February 25 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
