Hanif Mohammad passes away at 81

11th August (CRICKETNMORE) - Legendary Pakistan batsman Hanif Mohammad passed away at the age of 81 years at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi on Thursday after a three-week-long battle with respiratory complications and congestion, a media report said today.

The 81-year-old, who was suffering from lung cancer for which he underwent surgery in London in 2013, was shifted to the ventilator earlier after his health deteriorated, reported Dawn News. Check Top Cricket Friendships

“Hanif was admitted to the Aga Khan Hospital three weeks ago after he faced breathing problems,” the report quoted his son Shoaib Mohammad.

Born on Dec 21, 1934, in Junagarh, Hanif played 55 Test matches for Pakistan and scored 3915 runs which includes twelve hundreds.
