The past week has witnessed a dramatic & heated environment in the Indian Cricket Team & BCCI, due to Virat Kohli's sacking as ODI captain. Amidst this, Saurav Ganguly has come up with another statement on the Indian cricketer Kohli.

This saga started with Virat Kohli's sacking as the captain by BCCI in the postscript of a tweet with the test squad for the tour of South Africa. This move enraged netizens and they started criticizing BCCI, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly & General Secretary Jay Shah. A day later, BCCI paid a late tribute to Virat Kohli as captain of ODI with various throwback videos.

Sourav Ganguly while clarifying the issue said that they had asked Virat Kohli not to step down from the T20I captaincy, but Kohli didn't budge. Hence, to have the same white-ball captain, he was sacked and the new T20I captain Rohit Sharma was given the responsibility for the 50-over format as well.

However, at a press conference before leaving for South Africa, Virat Kohli revealed that when he told BCCI about resigning from the T20 captaincy, BCCI didn't have a problem with it. Hence, clearly falsifying Ganguly's earlier statement. Amidst this, Sourav Ganguly has made another statement on the Indian test skipper.

At an event in Gurgaon, Ganguly was asked which player's attitude he liked the best. To this, the former Indian captain answered, 'I like Virat Kohli's attitude, but he fights a lot.'

Meanwhile, India's tour of South Africa is set to begin from 26th December with the boxing day test. Rohit Sharma was handed the vice-captaincy of the test side but he was injured while practising in Mumbai and was ruled out of the test series. KL Rahul in his stead has been handed the responsibility. India would be eyeing their maiden test series win in South Africa.
