1st August (CRICKETNMORE) - KL Rahul brilliant century in the second test against West Indies at Sabina Park puts India on the top of the match. This was his third hundred in only his sixth match. He was pleased with his tremendous knock but said he wants to get better with every opportunity.

"My mindset was to go out there and play positively. Bowlers bowled really well. The weather was really hot today, so that was the biggest challenge for me. I was cramping and it was tough to cope with the weather but I am really happy with the way I batted," Rahul said after the second day's play. "I would take the three hundreds but obviously want to be more consistent and get better starts for my team. There's a lot to improve as an opening batsman and provide good starts in every game," Rahul said.

Speaking about his position as an opener he said, "(Murali) Vijay and Shikhar (Dhawan) have been performing well for the country in the last three-four years. My challenge is to compete with them and score runs whenever I get the opportunity."

"In modern-day cricket, you have to be all format player. All the formats are equally challenging. We work really hard in the off season on our game. That's the challenge we face and we are enjoying it so far," he said.
