ICC Rolls Out Tournaments' Schedule For The Next 10 Years, Pakistan Set to Host Champions Trophy

ICC on Tuesday (November 16) rolled out the schedule of all the ICC tournaments to take place in this decade, i.e. till 2031. Eight new tournaments have been announced, with 14 different countries as hosts. Champions Trophy is also making its official return. BCCI will get to host 3 ICC tournaments in the next 10 years in India.

Cricket fans in the United States Of America are sure to be delighted, as their country will get to host their first ICC tournament in the history of the game. USA will co-host the Twenty20 World Cup in 2024, along with West Indies. 

Probably the highlight of this schedule - Pakistan is all set to host the 2025 version of the ICC Champions Trophy in the year 2025 after it succeeded in obtaining the hosting rights for the tournament. The country will welcome the ICC tournament for the first time since 1996 when they co-hosted the World Cup with Sri Lanka.

A year later, the other 2 Asian Cricket giants - India & Sri Lanka, will co-host the T20 World Cup in 2026. In 2027, the African continent would get a taste of the mega cricketing event - the ODI World Cup. South Africa, Zimbabwe & Namibia would jointly host the prestigious tournament.

  • October-November 2027, ODI World Cup – South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia

  • October 2029, Champions Trophy – India
  • June 2030, T20 World Cup – England, Ireland & Scotland
  • October-November 2031, ODI World Cup – India & Bangladesh
