IND v NZ: Ravindra Jadeja Scores Fifty, Brings Up 100-run Partnership With Shreyas Iyer
The 1st test match of the 2-match series between India & New Zealand is being played at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur. Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss & opted to bat first. India lost a few early wickets as they were at 149/4. However, debutant Shreyas Iyer smacked a fifty and now star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also struck a fifty.
Ravindra Jadeja, on the 3rd delivery of the 83rd over, tapped the ball for a single towards mid-off. With this single, Jadeja brought up his 17th fifty in Test cricket. The left-arm batter, batting at #6 for India, brought up this fifty with 6 boundaries. This is Ravindra Jadeja's 5th fifty in the last 6 innings he has batted for the team.
Jadeja has been an asset for the Indian test team for the last two years, scoring crucial runs and providing important breakthroughs.
