The Indian skip now has 30 fifties in 119 matches. He has overtaken the former Indian T20I captain Virat Kohli, who has 29 fifties to his name in 95 T20I matches. Kohli has been rested for this series and will return for the second test match against New Zealand in Mumbai on December 3.

Meanwhile, talking about the match, Indians are at 111/4 in 12.3 overs. After a brilliant start, NZ spinners were able to pick a few scalps and slow down the run rate a bit. Team India is already 2-0 up in the 3-match T20I series and would be eyeing a clean sweep.
