IND V SL, 2nd T20I: Swashbuckling Show By The Batters Take Sri Lanka To 206/6

IND vs SL: An amazing batting show by Sri Lanka takes the team to a big total of 206 runs against India in the 2nd T20I of the three-match series here in Pune. 

After winning the toss India called the visitors to bat first. Kusal Mendis smashed 52 runs off 31 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes and partnered 80 runs for the opening wicket with Pathum Nissanka (33 runs).

After some quick wickets, Charith Asalanka took charge and lofted 4 sixes in his 37-run inning that came in just 19 balls at a strike rate of 194.74. 

Right after Asalanka fell, Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka played a quick-fire unbeaten knock of 56 runs in 22 deliveries at a blistering strike rate of 254.55 which included 2 fours and 6 sixes.

Indian bowling department was completely dismantled by the Sri Lankan batting. Especially, star bowler, Arshdeep Singh who was making a comeback after missing the first game got smacked 37 runs in his 2 overs. 

The star of the previous match Shivam Mavi got hammered 53 runs in 4 overs and went wicketless. Umran Malik was the leading wicket-taker who scalped 3/48. Axar took 2/24 and Chahal clinched 1/30.

Indian bowling in this match came a cropper as the top three pacers Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Mavi, and Umran Malik spanked 138 runs in a combined 10 overs by the trio.

Apart from this, the Indian side gave 12 freebie runs which included 7 no-balls, and 4 wides which parted the two sides as there were three moments when the bowler bowled out the batter but due to no balls Sri Lanka got lucky.
