IND VS AUS, Day 3: The final test is going to be a balanced tie as India replies with a solid 289/3 at the end of 3rd day of the final test against Australia here at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started the day well by partnering 73 runs till the time Matthew Kuhnemann stood up for Australia and the young spinner didn't make any mistake to send Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion.

Rohit Sharma was on 35 runs with 3 fours and 1 six when he got deported. After that Cheteshwar Pujara (42 runs) and Shubman Gill scored an instinctive 113 run second wicket stand and gave the team what was needed to lower their trail. 

While the home team was looking settled, Todd Murphy came into the attack and brought down Pujara with India's total was 187 on the board.

From here, Shubman Gill reached to his 2nd test hundred and scored a scorching 128 runs which also included 12 fours and 1 six before getting leg before the wicket out by Aussie star Nathan Lyon.

India lost its third wicket which was also a crucial one for the visiting side. Despite Shubman's dismissal, Virat Kohli chooses his option to lead the team from the front. 

Virat played shots with ease and scored a half-century by getting 5 fours he scored 59 runs. Soon Kohli build an important partnership with Ravindra Jadeja who also batted till the end by getting 16 runs.

India is still 191 runs behind Australia's first-inning score of 480 runs, which accompanied Usman Khawaja's 180 runs, Cameron Green (114) also batted well and scored his first hundred in India.
