IND VS AUS: Maxwell, Marsh Joins Australian Team For The ODI Series Against India

Ind vs Aus: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not been a cakewalk for the strong Australian side especially after losing two consecutive Test matches against India, the Australian team is looking under a lot of pressure.

The Aussies led by Pat Cummins are also being criticized from all sides. The visiting team is 2-0 down in the series with two test matches yet to be played but right after that Australia will square off against India in three ODIs which will be of utmost importance for the Aussie team who is looking forward to the ODI World Cup in India later this year. 

In such a situation, the Kangaroos have announced their ODI team with many like and unlike changes.

The Australian selectors have included Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell in their ODI squad. A 16-member squad has been announced for the three-match ODI series against India. Fast bowler Jhye Richardson has also returned to the national team. So far in the current Test series, three players have returned home due to various reasons.

While David Warner has been ruled out of the series midway through the second Test due to injury, Ashton Agar has returned home to play domestic cricket for Western Australia.

However, Warner has been given a place in the ODI team, so it is expected that he will be fit by then. At the same time, Josh Hazlewood has also been kept out of the ODI team due to injury. Australia's ODI team is looking very strong as compared to the Tests, in such a situation, there is going to be fierce competition in the ODI series. Well before that it will be interesting to see whether Australia can make a comeback in the Test series or not.
