IND vs BAN: Courtesy of an excellent 5-wicket haul by experience Bangladesh spinner Shakib Al Hasan, team India suffered a batting collapse and were bundled out for just 186 runs in 41.2 overs in the 1st ODI. KL Rahul was the lone ranger for team India with his 11th ODI fifty.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz grabbed the first wicket as opener Shikhar Dhawan was cleaned up while trying a reverse sweep in the 6th over. In the 11th over, Shakib Al Hasan came into the attack and struck with two big blows, dismissing both – Rohit Sharma (27) and Virat Kohli (9) in the same over.

While Rohit Sharma was caught in front, Litton Das grabbed a screamer at covers to get rid of an in-form Virat Kohli. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul then held the crease and a lot depended on this partnership and they etched43 runs together for the 5th wicket until Ebadot Hossain broke through. Shreyas Iyer was dismissed after scoring 24 runs in 39 balls.

After that, KL Rahul and Washington Sundar got together and etched the biggest partnership for India in the match, adding 60 runs for the 6th wicket. Washington Sundar scored 19 runs in 43 balls before Shakib got rid of him in the 33rd over.

Ebadot Hossain dismissed debutant, Shahbaz Ahmed, for a duck in the next over, and Shardul Thakur was bowled for 2 runs by Shakib Al Hasan in the next over. However, KL Rahul continued till the 40th over as he scored 73 runs off 70 balls with 5 fours & 4 sixes. Ebadot Hossain ultimately got the wicket of India's highest run scorer in this match.

Ultimately, India were bowled out for their 2nd lowest total ever against Bangladesh in ODIs. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan picked up 5 wickets while Ebadot Hossain grabbed 4 wickets, who was playing his 2nd ODI match. Mehidy Hasan Miraz also picked up 1 wicket.
