IND vs ENG, 3rd Test: Records Made And Broken In The Pink Ball Test At Motera
India defeated England in the 3rd Test match played at new Motera Stadium and took a lead in the four-match series 2-1. The pink ball Test was done and dusted within two days after India's spinners rattled England out cheaply in both innings.

1) R Ashwin Takes 400 Test Wickets -
Ravichandran Ashwin became the 2nd fastest bowler to take 400 test wickets. Ashwin needed just six wickets before the start of the 3rd Test and claimed the milestone wicket in the second innings of England. He achieved this record in 77 tests, overtaking Dale Steyn and Richard Hadlee(80 tests), and is only behind Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan, who did it in 72 matches.
The off-spinner joined the elite list of Indians who have taken 400 test wickets - Kapil Dev(434), Anil Kumble(619), and Harbhajan Singh(417).
2) India's Most Successful Test Captain
Virat Kohli became the most successful test captain on Indian soil overtaking MS Dhoni after his team defeated England in the 3rd Test. Kohli has now completed 22 test wins 29 matches, one better than Dhoni's 21 wins in 30 games.
3) Shortest Test After World War 2
The 3rd Test between India-England ended within two days. Only 842 balls were bowled to complete the game. This was the shortest test match, in terms of ball bowled, after Australia vs New Zealand in 1945/46 which saw only 872 balls delivered.
