India Thrash West Indies By 59 Runs In 4th T20I; Clinch 5-Match Series
WI vs IND: Indian bowler put up a fantastic performance to halt West Indies to 132 in 19.1 overs, winning the match by 59 runs. With this win, India have built an unassailable lead of 3-1 and clinched the 5-match T20I series.
Arshdeep Singh picked up 3 wickets and was the top wicket-taker for team India. Avesh Khan started the proceedings with 2 wickets, while Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi chipped in with 2 wickets each while restricting West Indies to 132/10 and win the match by 59 runs.
Captain Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell scored 24 runs each and were the top scorers for the hosts.
In the first innings, Batters displayed a content T20I batting performance as India posted 191/5 in 20 overs against West Indies in 4th T20I.
Indian openers Rohit Sharma (33) and Suryakumar Yadav (24) provided a good opening as they added 53 runs in 4.4 overs for the first wicket. Rishabh Pant top scored with 44 runs off 31 balls with 6 boundaries.
For West Indies, Obed McCoy and Alzarri Joseph picked up 2 wickets each while Akeal Hosein grabbed 1 wicket.
