Covid Scare For Indian Team As Dhawan, Iyer & Gaikwad Test Positive Ahead Of WI ODI Series
Three players from the Indian ODI squad for the 3-match ODI series against West Indies have tested COVID positive and have been isolated. The affected players include opener Shikhar Dhawan, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer & upcoming star Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Indian cricket team landed in Ahmedabad on Monday and the team went through Covid tests upon arrival. BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal confirmed the same while talking to ANI. He said, "It has been brought to the notice that some players and some support staff have tested positive for COVID19. BCCI is watching the situation."
India is scheduled to clash against West Indies in the 3-ODI match series at Ahmedabad, starting from February 6th (Sunday) followed by a 3-match T20I series at Eden Gardens.

Ahead of the ODI series, the Kieron Pollard-led West Indies team arrived in Ahmedabad while it has been confirmed that the 3-match ODI series between India and West Indies will be played behind closed doors at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
