Sydney, Feb 9 (CRICKETNMORE):  Australia's middle-order batsman Chris Lynn was on Thursday ruled out of the national squad for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka, starting February 17.

The 26-year-old aggravated a bulging disc in his neck and was replaced by Ben Dunk for the three-match series.

"Chris resumed some light training as part of his rehabilitation but was still unable to function at the level he needs to play international cricket due to his existing neck injury," team Physiotherapist Kevin Sims was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
