IPL 2020: Rana's 87 Powers KKR To 172/5
Nitish Rana's 87 off 61 balls help Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) to score 172/5 against Chennai Super Kings(CSK) in the first innings.
Earlier, CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first. Kolkata got off to a good start scoring 48 runs in the first six overs without losing any wicket.
Openers Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill had 53 run partnership for the first wicket in 44 balls. KKR lost wickets at regular intervals after the powerplay. Rana's innings of 87 runs included 10 fours and four sixes.
Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik finished the innings well as they helped Knight Riders score 66 runs in the last five overs while losing two wickets.
For CSK, Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers. He took two wickets in his four overs and conceded 34 runs.
