IPL 2020: Sam Curran Takes Clueless CSK To 114/9 Against MI
Sam Curran's fighting knock of 52 runs takes Chennai Super Kings(CSK) to 114/9 after Mumbai Indians bowlers create havoc in the top order.
Earlier, MI's stand-in captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and opted to bowl first. His decision turned out to be correct as CSK lost five wickets inside powerplay and scored just 24 runs.
Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah were outstanding with the new ball and Chennai were 30/6 at one stage with all the batsmen back in the dugout. Sam Curran got stuck at one end and took the team past the 100 run mark. He got good support from Shardul Thakur and Imran Tahir in the lower order as CSK managed to score 43 runs in the last five overs.
For MI, Trent Boult took four for 18 in his four overs.
Brief Score - 114/9 (Sam Curran - 52, MS Dhoni - 16; Trent Boult - 4/18)
