IPL 2022 is set to commence on March 26th and there's a bit of good news for the Delhi Capitals prior to the start of the tournament. DC's pacer Anrich Nortje has been recovering well and is expected to return soon. However, according to reports, the South African pacer is set to miss the first two matches for Delhi Capitals.
According to Cricbuzz, Anrich Nortje will join the DC team after missing the first two matches and will play against Lucknow Supergiants at DY Patil Stadium. The 28-year old bowler has been out of on-field action due to a hip injury.
Delhi Capitals would breathe a huge sigh of relief as they retained the pacer for 6.5 crores, releasing Kagiso Rabada ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction. Nortje was expected to lead the DC pace attack, and the pacer has reached Mumbai to quarantine before joining his team.
