IPL Auction 2022: Uncapped Tim David Bags Big; MI Buy The Singaporean At 8.25 Crores
IPL Auction 2022: On the 2nd day of the ongoing IPL Auction 2022, where 10 franchises competed for building their squad. Mumbai Indians, a team that wasn't very active throughout the main players' auction, activated in the Accelerated Auction phase.
Mumbai Indians first acquired English pacer Jofra Archer for Rs. 8 crores and then bagged uncapped Tim David for a mammoth amount of 8.25 crores. As many as six out of ten franchises competed to buy the 25-year old all-rounder, but MI entered late in the bidding war and managed to get the Singapore-born player.
Who is Tim David?
Tim David was born in Singapore & has played 85 T20 matches in his career and has registered 1,908 runs with a batting average of 34.69 with an impressive strike rate of 159.39. Apart from this, he was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2021 edition and played a match as well.
