London, June 29 (CRICKETNMORE) Promising batswoman Iram Javed was on Thursday named as a replacement for injured all-rounder Bismah Maroof in the Pakistan squad for the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup here.

Maroof, who injured herself while diving on the field in the match against England in Leicester on Tuesday, was ruled out of the rest of the World Cup.

Maroof scored 10 runs in the first match against South Africa and picked up 1/7 from two overs. She is also Pakistan's second-most experienced player in One-day Internationals (ODI) and currently leads the Twenty20 International side.

The 25-year old Iram has played only seven ODIs since her debut in 2013. She has scored 37 runs and has taken three wickets with her seam bowling. She last played 50-over cricket for Pakistan in November 2016.
