In the fifth and final test against England at Edgbaston, the result may go anyway but the fans wouldn't forget how southpaw Rishabh Pant entertained them and would remember this performance for a long time. Pant played an explosive knock of 146 runs in the first innings and then went on to score 57 runs in the second innings, completing 200 runs in the match.

In this match, Rishabh Pant took on all the English bowlers to thrash them but the way he took on spinner Jack Leach in the first innings, turned the match on its back. If we take a look at Leach's numbers in the first innings, one would get to know how Pant thrashed the bowler. Jack Leach bowled just 9 overs in the first innings and at an economy of 7.90, gave away 71 runs.

After this, the fans were excited to see the duel between Jack Leach and Rishabh Pant in the second innings as well but they had to wait a long time to witness this contest. After English captain Ben Stokes' tactics failed against the explosive Indian batter, he gave the ball to Jack Leach. However, Rishabh Pant, this time flopped against the spinner. Leach was bowling the 63rd over of the Indian innings and Pant tried to reverse sweep the 3rd delivery of the over, but his luck had run out.

The batter failed to connect the bat to the ball properly as the spin cramped him up. The ball hit the top of Pant's bat and lobbed to Joe Root at slip. Root was attentive and hung on to a sharp catch. With this India lost their 6th wicket on 198 runs, with a lead of 330 runs.
