SA vs IND: Jayant Yadav To Stay In South Africa For ODIs After Washington Sundar's Exclusion
South Africa vs India: Team India is set to play a 3-match ODI series against South Africa from January 19th. As the ODI contingent was set to fly to South Africa on Wednesday (January 12th), breaking news came in: Washington Sundar is ruled out of the ODI series.
The 22-year old all-rounder tested positive for COVID-19 and was excluded from the squad. Moments later, according to reports BCCI have asked Jayant Yadav to stay back for the ODI series, who's already a part of the test squad and in South Africa even though he didn't get to play a single test.
Washington Sundar came into the limelight after his crucial contributions to India's successful Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign earlier in 2021. Sundar has played just a single One Day International game for India and managed to pick one wicket, while he didn't get a chance to bat.

Jayant Yadav, the 31-year old right-arm off-break bowler, has also played only one ODI for India, way back in 2016 against New Zealand where he also managed to pick up one wicket, while he also scored 1*.
