Jos Buttler Smashes An Explosive Ton, Creates A New Record As An English Cricketer

England's opening batsman Jos Buttler created history by scoring a century in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 match against Sri Lanka in Sharjah on Monday. Buttler played a knock of unbeaten 101 in 67 balls with six fours and six sixes. With this century, he added many records to his name. 

Butler has become the first player (of a full member country) to score a century in a Twenty-20 match by hitting a six off the last ball. Apart from this, he has become the first player from England, who has scored a century in all three formats of international cricket.

Butler also completed 2000 runs in T20 International cricket with this century. Butler is the first English player to score 2000 or more runs in all three formats.

Jos Butler has reached number one in terms of playing most deliveries in an innings in the T20 World Cup. He faced 67 balls (11.1 overs) in his innings against Sri Lanka. While doing this, he broke the record of Chris Gayle, who faced 66 balls in the match against India in the 2010 World Cup.
