In what can be called another twist in the tale of the latest Wriddhiman Saha controversy, the journalist - Boria Majumdar - is set to file a defamation case against the Indian wicketkeeper.

Majumdar put a video on social media where he alleged Saha tampered with the WhatsApp chat screenshot, and told 'his side of the story'. The 'respected journalist' said while it is true that he was 'disappointed' of Saha not coming up for an interview that was scheduled beforehand, he never threatened the Indian wicketkeeper or any other player.

"Wriddhiman Saha has doctored, fabricated, and manipulated screenshots and has put it out in public domain trying to garner public sympathy," Majumdar alleged.

Saha, on 19th February, shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat in which an unnamed journalist asked him for an interview and when it didn't happen, went on to say, "You did not call. Never again will I interview you. I don't take insults kindly. And I will remember this. This wasn't something ypu should have done."

On 5th March, Saha met a BCCI committee investigating the issue and named the journalist in front of them.

"I have told the committee everything I know. All the details I have shared with them. I can't tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk anything outside...about the meeting as they will answer all your queries," Saha told reporters here.
